Cheyenne Gregory Nelson Feb. 1 : Shawn Stephan Moore, 22, was found shot dead outside a North End crack house. Cheyenne Gregory Nelson, 20, was charged with first-degree murder.

Feb. 14 : Veronica Lynn Cropp, 31, was found dead in a West End townhouse, the victim of an apparent strangulation. Calvin Glenn Thordarson, 33, was charged with second-degree murder.

Feb. 21 : James Ronald Hanson, 28, died after a scuffle with three men in the parking lot of The Beach nightclub on Pembina Highway. Gregory James Everett, 23; Adam David Bidzinski, 20; and Christopher Enrique Gonzales, 19, were charged with manslaughter.

March 18 : Denis Vandal, 49, died five days after he got into an altercation at Silverado's Cabaret at Canad Inns Garden City. During the altercation, his head struck the barroom floor. Glenn Lizchynsky, 36, was charged with manslaughter. Vandal was the brother of former City Councillor & 2004 Mayoral candidate Dan Vandal.

March 24 : Stephanie Ann Buboire, 24, was killed at an apartment building at 519 Burnell St. Dwayne Lorne Powell, 25, and a second man have been charged with second-degree murder.

March 30 : Brent P. Jones, 37, was stabbed to death in the garage of his home at 1124 Valour Rd. Roque Conay Gonzales, 44, was charged with first-degree murder.

April 16 : Ernest Anderson, 58, was found by firefighters in a main-floor suite of a rooming house at 524 Boyd Ave. Anderson had suffered injuries before the fire. Resident Waylon Joseph Paul, 24, and his half-brother, Kevin Clayton Campbell, 21, were charged with second-degree murder. Police allege the fire was set to destroy evidence.

May 1 : Shawn Murray Baptiste, 18, of Gimli, was allegedly beaten to death outside 502 Spence Ave. Sean Everette-Dorland, 18; Cory Everette,18; Johnathan Ballantyne, 24; Stacey Bear, 24; and a 17-year-old male youth were charged with second-degree murder.

May 15 : Sophie Jaworksi, 83, died of stab wounds while a patient at Seven Oaks General Hospital. Her husband, Tony Jaworski, was charged with second-degree murder.

May 29 : A 16-month old girl, baby Amelia, was allegedly beaten to death at a condominium near Kenaston Boulevard. A 21-year-old man was charged with second-degree murder, and the child's 15-year-old mother was charged with criminal negligence causing death.

June 10 : Margaret Besteck, 79, was found dead in a closet in her side-by-side house at 176 Lake Village Rd. in Fort Garry. Cause of death was asphixyation. She had also been spray painted. Besteck's 14-year-old grandson was charged with first-degree murder.

June 11 : Douglas Fisher, 39, was allegedly stabbed to death at 133 Disraeli St. during a domestic incident. Bernice Byrd, 52, was charged with second-degree murder.

June 12 : Cynthia Lafleur, 25, was killed by a shotgun blast at her home at 645 Redwood Ave. Jesse James Anderson, 20, was arrested four days later and charged with manslaughter.

June 27 : The body of Janko Milas was found at his burned house at 340 Chalmers Ave. An autopsy indicated the cause of death was strangulation. Roberto Salvador Nieto, 27, was charged with second-degree murder.

July 12 : Garnet William Sinclair, 32, was charged with manslaughter following the death of a four-year-old girl he had been babysitting.

July 31 : Sterling Bair Moar, 19, was shot dead at a house at 689 Beverley St. Paul Grushniak, 35, was charged with second degree murder.

Aug. 1 : David Keno, 19, was shot dead at a residence at 639 Selkirk Ave. A 15-year-old youth was charged with manslaughter.

Aug. 12 : Sandra Chabauty, 52, was stabbed to death at a residence at 277 Margaret Ave. Her ex-common-law husband, Eugene Joseph Sigouin, 54, was charged with first-degree murder.

Aug. 27 : Sirak Okbazion, 14, was shot to death outside a drug house on Sherbrook Street. Royce Darcy Berens, another man, and two teens were charged with second-degree murder.

Sept. 16 : Wilson Martinez, 20, was shot dead in a playground at Heritage School, at Heritage Boulevard and Carriage Road. Clayton Thomas Korski, 22, was charged with first-degree murder.

Sept. 20 : Brian Wellard, 67, was found dead in his second-floor condo on Edmonton Street. Police have said Wellard died of blunt trauma and have asked for witnesses to come forward with information about his movements between Sept. 16 and Sept. 20.

Sept. 22 : Brad Tait, 20, was stabbed to death during an altercation at a suite at Ash Haven Arms at 115 Clarke St. A 23-year-old man allegedly involved in the altercation was also injured. He has not been charged.

Oct. 9 : Trevor Sinclair, 25, was killed by a single gunshot to the chest on King Street near Dufferin Avenue. Norman Lacasse, 26, was charged with second-degree murder.

Oct. 10 : The body of Jeffrey Gibson, 37, was found in a shallow grave in Warren. Police said they found blunt force trauma to Gibson's head and chest and he had also been suffocated. Nathan Marriott, 24, was charged with second-degree murder.

Oct. 15 : Gordon Catcheway, 64, was beaten and stabbed to death at his residence at 949 Pritchard Ave. Police have described Catcheway as a "bootlegger" and have appealed for help to catch his killer or killers.

Oct. 21 : A man was shot dead outside a house in the 1900 block of Alexander Avenue. Police are still investigating and have so far not released any details about the killing, including the victim's name. No arrests have been made.

Oct. 22 : Two men were shot at a suspected crack house at 575 Flora Ave. David Lagimodiere, 20, died at the scene and Corey Todd remains in hospital. A car was seen by witnesses speeding away. Police are seeking suspects Jason Arthur Coutu, 20, and brother Keith Sean Coutu, 26.

Oct. 22 : Michael Helgason, a three-month-old triplet, died of blunt force trauma. His mother Michelle Camire, 23, was charged with manslaughter.

Oct. 26 : A 23-year-old was stabbed in the heart outside 410 Webb Place, an apartment complex behind Portage Place, and died at the scene. A 16-year-old youth was charged with 2nd Degree Murder. Police say the two people have had problems with each other for some time before the stabbing.

Oct. 27 : Leslie Robert Tait, 46, was stabbed by his brother Melvin Tait, 48, during an argument. Neighbours said alcohol was involved.
