    Price is cheap, looks like 1 1/2 mobile homes.

    My daughter just spent $100,000 for a cottage, and ended up renting it out for July and August, and the rental ends up paying for the cost of her whole year's mortgage, and she will get to use it from Sept to June- what an incredible smart daughter, way smarter that me!

    where did she find a cottage for $100K...we have been looking around and haven't been able to find anything under 170K really...

    It is a really good size, plus a double lot, with a great fire pit.
    Lots of family's in the area so good for kids.

    Want a cottage under 170 K ?? C'mon out to Winnipeg Beach/ matlock area....bought my big lot for $13,000 in 06 , slapped a 2000 sq house on it and my taxes are under 2k a year. Just a minute walk to beach. The cottage across the street from me is going to 70K right now.

    Hillside Beach, pretty nice 3 bedroom, with a beautiful fireplace. She saw the advertisement, went to look at it and offered the asking price, with out doing too much investigation.
    Completely furnished, and it turns out to be an incredible investment for her even though that was not on her mind.
    A very few dollars in minor repairs to the rotting deck, and the space is quite impressive.
    75 minute drive from Wpg, not particularly close to the beach, but that wa not important to her, as she still knows how to walk, especially with her dog with her.
