Has anyone ever been to The Bike Dump? Whats it like? Vintage bike parts available there? Their website doesn't give a telephone # so I'll try going tomorrow night stone cold.

I bought my bike there. The vollunteers can be really nice or realllly snobby. Look for an older German(?) guy, he was nice. some of the hippy bikers are snobby though, beware.

The Bike Dump rocks!! I agree with Zwikster though, some of the volunteers are very snobby. If you are dealing with one you don't like ask if there's anyone else that can help you. Some of them are really super nice, especially the older ones. I think I know the German guy Zwikster's talking about (his accent isn't really strong is it Zwikster??), and he's really great. They have a location just off Main and one at UofM but I think the one at UofM doesn't have set hours (or at least they didn't, maybe that has changed).
