Posted By: jimSo will most of the rest of Wpg!
Sadly, if it's urban policy related, they won't. They'll sit at home and bitch about transportation in Winnipeg instead.

Here's a related event. Looks like fun and a chance to hang out at the Ukrainian Labour Temple !

Winnipeg is July is excellent, non?

What better way to celebrate the prairie summer than with a glass full of half pints, some local music (Magnificent 7s and DJ Co-op) and as much locally sourced food as we could find to make vegan/cheesy/meaty tacos!

It'll be a trip to local heritage landmark, the Ukainian Labour Temple, and you'll get to see a handful of videos from the videopool collection, all hosted by Trevor Greyeyes!

Tickets are $20 and are available from Music Trader and Organic Planet (Westminster at Evanson)

This non-profit event is brought to you by Planners Network Manitoba, the Harvest Moon Society, 101.5 UMFM, the Next American City and the Osborne Village Cultural Centre (you know, the Gas Statioin Theatre folks!).

This event is part of the 2008 Planners Network conference (www.pnmb.org).
I think I will be attending. I'm signing up under "low income" as I can't afford the student price.
