They're reapplying the surfacing agent. A couple of weeks back they did it to the NEW Maryland bridge. Can't be mad if they're left to rot and then be mad if they're having preventative maintenance done to them. Well, I guess you could but that's just dumb.

I am just a little tired of peoples ranting without knowing any of the information and making their own assumptions.

"didn't we just fix this thing? Was the quality of work low? "

Sure seems like a question to me. Your the one that started ranting.

    finnmacool-

You have to rant with no referance to what is really happening, you have to slander whenever possible, you have to quote using any damn figures ,and then after 1 year trial then you can post truthiness' things, except by then no one will know or care ! LOL

    works for me!

As for quality standards please note the bridge 0n the perimeter in south Winnipeg. They did their thing last year and will repeat it this year due to poor quality methodology and/or materials. I believe it is quite understandable, and reasonable, to assume and question other bridge construction that might be construed as poor quality construction.

    Speaking of which....

...anyone know what happened to the Maryland Bridge decay issue that was around a few years ago? Remember when all the concrete rails were scaling to dust and they saw that all the rebar was rusting away to nothing? They rebuilt the bridge I believe.

It wasn't poor quality construction on the south perimeter bridge, it was the use of the wrong materials. Actually, that may not be true, it may just have been a short sight of the engineer (wrong specs for the material?).

You are correct. They rebuilt both bridges. As I type, they are working on them again; at least the west span. I am not sure exactly what they are doing, but it looks like they are treating the concrete surface with something.
