I discovered a new used bookstore on my stroll to lunch today. it's on Sargent at Young: The Dusty Bookcover .

A neat little place. Newly renovated space, well appointed with couches and a coffee machine. it was started up by one of Lehotsky's youth missions - (there is a religion section but the vast number of books are regular titles). Books are going for $3, $4 etc. and they have a large kids section. The place is so nice and orderly but when I asked about donating books the guy said that they're not taking them for now because thy have so many in the basement. At the risk of loosing some of the orderly look they could get a heck of a lot more books in the main floor.

A nice little find.

Reminds me that I have got to get to Aqua's new store. Anyone been there yet ?

It's actually in the back section of the book store. bit pricey but neat has some "treehuggerish" flair to it.

We've been there a couple of times, but it seems they'll never get the renovation finished...
by now they might have 30% of the books in the (very limited) shelf space. Once they're done with the right side of the store it should be much better. Some nice finds though.

Still, nothing beats an afternoon at the red river book store on Arthur st.
Hello All. Just thought I'd let you know that Aqua Books is 100% open, with about 25,000 books and counting. Fringe show opening upstairs tomorrow too. Details at aquabooks.ca. Cheers

25,000 books? Wow. Is that more than you had at the Princess Street location?
