Today I went of earlier from work to find out who owns the packers Site.

Start of my Adventures Titles Office at 276 Portage Avenue.
they couldn't help me first. They need Lot/Block/Plan Number or Title Number or a civic address.
I had none and they couldn't find out. So they refered me to the mapping/plans service in the mezzanine level of 30 Fort st.

Thanks to theese Guys I got the Numbers, They are Fantastic, friendly and helpful.
The Software they use is cool to, Areal picture and one click gives the boundaries and onther information.

If anybody ever needs more Information here the Title Numbers

    22333059
    22333029
    22333038
    22333049
    22333042
    22333062

The Owner of the Property seems to be......

Canad INNs at least that's where the tax bill goes for these properties.

Not really, I found no source which stated that these properties were actually sold; basically just hearsay.
I was just curious enough to check this out after work.

Northender was right, but couldn't/wouldn't give me a source other than cjob transmission and their site (cjob) lacks a search function.
This way was easier and faster.

Good for you. You must have a lot of time on your hands.
  2.
It might be easier to go down to the property services division on Main. You can search its computer and it will tell you where the tax bills are sent and you can do a location search at the same time.

Tax bill goe.s to leo at Canad inn as he owns the property he bought it I believe for peanuts thinking the city would have treated him better then it did. His proposle is still the best but he is not a member of the Main St circle so it doe,s not get a fair shot.

It seems we have a pissing contest between Ledohowski and Asker.

Plus someone posted the article last year that confirmed the sale. This really wasn't a mystery.

What is the mystery is why the stadium/waterpark/hotel isn't getting built on this land.

And JTF - it does seem like a bit of a pissing match, but unfortunately it seems like Ledo is the one getting pissed on ;)

He's getting pissed on by City Hall and Asper.

You can't fight two hoses with one.

if your hose is bigger and you have more people holding it you can..
  5.
This site has some potential as a World's Fair site if the CPR doesn't want to move...
  6.
Man and his world was 400 acres - 160 hectares there abouts.....just for comparison you know......by the way, we built an island for it.
  7.
What is the area of this site?
  8.
Don't know, I know he paid a mill for it.
  9.
On Google Earth it looks larger than the CPR Winnipeg Yards.
  10.
i didn't think it was that big, wow...so ok, its 80 hectares plus-225 acres or more

I know. It would make a great...back up site...for a really big fair.

It is not that much farther from Portage and Main than the yards are either.
