I visited a Subway restaurant today in Wpg. Noticed that Subway is offering a lobster sandwich special. I believe the 6" sandwich started at ~$8.50. Lobster at Subway?? Has anyone ventured to try this sandwich yet? Also, seems to be a bit pricey.

And a recipe for food poisoning?

They've had this in Ontario/Quebec for a while now. Not worth the $$ imo.

I wonder if they have McLocust burgers in China? or Algae Subs?

I tried the seafood sub from Subway a few years ago, not sure if they still have it but it made me instantly want to puke, nasty!

Nothing can beat a fresh lobster roll from a church picnic in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.
Don't even bother with the fakes.

Don't take a wafer from a guy in a white dress just cause he says he's legit.
    ;)
I meant the lobster meat - it's one of the things I miss about living in Halifax!

McDonald's is very flexible with their menu and adapts it to the local culture quite regularly.

Very true, check out the history of the Filet o Fish sandwich.
  8.
Huh? There's an actual 'history' to a fish sandwich?
  9.
Yes, as I understand, way back, and I think it was in Chicago, McDonald's noticed sales in one of their locations dropped dramatically on Friday's, and it was determined that it was because it was a predominantly Catholic neighbourhood, so they developed the Filet O Fish to accomodate the Catholics who did not eat meat on Fridays. Now thats understanding your market.

By that way ... I know somebody who worked for a pork processing company in the US that supplies Subway. Just so you know: the ham that subway buys can last 6 months -- unrefrigerated!
