    Speaking of The Forks, how were festivities there? The last couple of times I've been in town for the weekend, I've checked out Osborne Village so I'm not up to speed on what was going on over at The Forks.

    I did watch the fireworks at The Forks from my building's rooftop, though - I must say I was impressed this year. All I remember from last year's fireworks display was not being impressed - so either my standards went down or the show got better.

    The show at Assiniboine Park was really good.

    The fireworks were accompanied by music, which I always love.

    They played the Manitoba centennial song at the start of the fireworks, which I haven't heard in years. Anyone else catch it?

    too busy singing O Canada with 1500+ other people at Tyndall Park :)

    shoulda seen main st it was at a stand still while 10's of thousands of people rushed into downtown to get to their cars not to mention a the cyclists and bus's waiting to pic people up.......
