What is everyone up to this Canada Day?

I am having a family BBQ (weather pending). I prefer to celebrate in the comfort of my own yard.

Family Q's are great. I've nothing exciting planned. Mostly a little R & R. Bomber game tomorrow night. I took a holiday for the Monday getting a nice extra long weekend...

My hubby is off tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday. I am jealous. I am taking advantage and grabbed some extra hours at work....working is my time away from the kids...;)

Camping! and all the good things that go with it - hiking, swimming, cycling, drinking, BBQing, firing, swatting.

I'm going to the Ukrainian Heritage Village Museum just east of Edmonton on Saturday.

Hiking in Jasper will have to wait as my mother is in town and doesn't like to do that stuff. Were still going to Jasper, just more touristy sightseeing though. However, hiking in Jasper WILL happen this year for sure sometime!

All in all, it's going to be a sunny and hot long weekend here in Central Alberta!

Family barbecue at my parent's place.

Not sure whose family is being barbecued though.

29?? Oh man, I think I'm just going to either crank the A/C and rest or buy an inflatable kiddie pool and drown myself in it whilst loaded with ice. Keep refilling it until I see fireworks.

Where do you go in the Whiteshell? We like to stay in Big Whiteshell when we can get a site on the water.

As for me, I'll be out on the Red River all day, taking tourists and others around on tours.

yeah, I am a tour boat operator, and anyone who wishes to make a reservation can call the information line for the City of Winnipeg

    986-5663

and no, I'm not with Splash

Since the city is shutting down for Monday and Tuesday, anyone wanting to make a reservation for Tuesday will have to call today. Sorry, I have no control on how the City runs it's reservation system.
