hello,

I am a hard working, reliable mal who wants to make a few extra $$$ for either the weekend or evening weekdays. My daughter needs to take art lessons, as she has been asking me for some time. I want to enroll her in a course at the WAG. I am employed FT, but want to earn some extra cash.

If anyone needs yardwork done or knows of anyone that needs yardwork done, can you please PM me. I would be happy to help out with cutting grass, working on gardens, helping move furniture. you name it. I lookk forward to doing business with you :)

I need a stump removed but it's not a pretty job. Tree company couldn't get it out with their grinder.

If your daughter is between 8 and 28 maybe the Graffitti Gallery can offer programms which are not as stressing on the finances.
They got lot of programms and are very active.

Another is Art City. It's also free.

My daughter took the class at the WAG...to me it was MEH at best.

I've taken two classes at the WAG. I have to submit something for the student art show in July. I'm deciding between this and this . If you have an opinion, let me know ... I haven't decided yet. I am leaning towards the vegetable, even though the landscape is probably a better painting.

I'd say submit the vegetable. The landscape is a bit better, but the contrasting colours in the eggplant painting are more interesting. It catches the eye more.

btw, I'm doing all kinds of yard work this summer, but my wife would kill me if I hired a girl to help me out. :-)

You've probably done this already, but if not print up some flyers and drop them in people's mail boxes. You might get some hits.

I like the landscape... I do not like the eggplant... but if you have been on here long enough you will know that most people dont exactly have the same taste in art as I do..

I like them both, but the landscape is more my style. It is actually quite good. Congrats! I'd love to have such a talent.

Thanks for your votes and comments.

I have decided to go with the Eggplant, even though more of you liked the landscape, because in the end I'm not a big fan of landscapes and the eggplant is probably a better example of my painting style (if you can call it that).

I probably should have started a new thread instead of hi-jacking gridlock's thread, but oh well...
