"Around 4:30 p.m., several suspects abandoned a grey Chrysler 300 in a parking lot about 1.6 kilometres from the home between Logan Avenue and Alexander Avenue where shots pierced minutes earlier"

nah criminals would never drive that kind of car..

Imagine that eh? It was interesting reading that thread again. The righteous indignation of some before the facts came out was hilarious.

I think the police should have realized it was a Chrysler 300 and come to the conclusion that a bad guy simply does not drive that kind of car and let it go. When they catch the bad guys maybe they'll claim racial profiling and will get off.

If it looks like a duck, and it walks like a duck, and it quacks like a duck, it is likely a duck.

I don't recall anyone anywhere saying that because it was a Chrysler 300, the occupant couldn't be a criminal.

I'm not sure what you're saying here, Dean.

Yes you are. You started a thread, as you so often do, with the intention of saying something, starting something.

You don't? Fresh EI himself did. But I think you know full well what has been implied here. Not sure where the righteous indignation comes from.

Guys, quit it. From now on, there's no reason either of you have to interact with the other on this issue.

It's all good fun. Lighten up.

The point is not that he was driving a certain car. The point is that they didnt run the plates before they stuck a gun in his face. He wasnt driving frantically, he just bought a coffee...

Zwikster, best go do some research. Or at the very least, read this thread. They did run the plate. That was ultimately why they went after him. Facts man facts...

so they ran his plate, and who was the car registered to? oh..I forgot, they blamed it on the other person on the radio who gave them incorrect info...isnt that what their statement said? Cops have answers and excuses for everything dont they? must be really convenient not having to take responsibility for your own screw ups at your job.

I get in shit whenever I make a typo at my job! Im not throwing guns in innocent peoples faces...

You always seem to have all the answers also, dont you GOM?

I sure am! I just bought some new training shoes and im looking forward to running up and down some mountains! Maybe the Grouse grind!

but when im on the clock this is a good way to pass the time.

there are still LOTS of things I need to see out here. I always think of a visitor coming to Wpg...to take them where...? the Forks..woop-dee-doo... guess you can always drive to...Steinback..or Brandon... but I do admit, there are nice cabins/lakes in Mb.

BTW, Goth chick? shouldnt you be organizing your black clothes in your closet? or preparing for tonights ritual/sacrifice? or listening to that same NIN or Tool album over and over again? which is it? must be hard to maintain the hipness of the "Goth" look.

Wrong. Chrysler 300s have the IBC-approved immobilizer in them.

The Free Press article does not mention the car was stolen.
