    Hi all,
I'm trying to decide on which company to go with to sign up for new cell phone contracts for my husband and I. We just need basic service - no bells/whistles - just to be able to reach each other and local friends and family. Any suggestions? Any companies we should avoid? Thanks for any input in advance. M.

Rogers is supposed to be changing their pricing when they get the iPhone. I'd wait to see what they have to offer after July 11th before doing a comparison between companies.

Aren't we going to see a major change to pricing here in the very near future because of the new scheme being opened up?

Rogers is more likely just to change their data plan prices. I suspect that regular voice plan prices will remain the same.

Thanks for the links to old discussions - I'm new to this site so I wasn't aware that this topic had been covered...often.

And I expect you are right J2F. That is one benefit of increased competition. But I think that is still a long time coming no?

I'm getting a cell for one of my kids. Is the $20 a month student plan from MTS okay? It has unlimited texting - which I think is why he wants a cell.
