I don't understand why anyone texts me, especially during evenings and weekends when many people have free airtime anyway. It is so bloody inconvenient unless you have a phone specifically geared toward it.

Texting = great for dropping a quick line about something, anything while on the go without the urgency or immediateness of a phone call; some things, after all, aren't super time sensitive.

I switched from Rogers to 7-11's Speakout and love it. Free phone with $100 purchase and the airtime lasts one year and if you add on everything (including former balance) is good for one year. I used to pay $40/m and now I pay max of $10/m.
