    I was walking my dog this morning and as I approach the park I see a ton of tents and some canoes. Then I saw one of the trucks and figured it out:

    This is great stuff. This is the way to make Canadian history interesting for our kids. You just have to close your eyes and imagine what it must have been like 200 years ago for these guys, who didn't know where they were going or climbing up the banks of the Assiniboine and seeing only horizon in every direction. Talk about an adventure!!

    My brother-in-law's dad paddled the North Saskatchewan with a friend from Edmonton to Winnipeg back in the late 50s.

    The Free Press apparently had an article about them.
