Think of the accidents as drivers get dizzy from going in circles trying to figure out how the hell to get onto the street they want.

I use the one (traffic circle) in the west end of Brandon regularly. Compared to the intersection that used to be there, it is a huge improvement. I think though, that we are lacking in the # of drivers that know how to use them, or even care to bother finding out how to get in and out of them safely.

I remember the traffic circles in Edmonton, they seemed a challenge to some people, and others had no problem. In my mind a traffic circle is far better for traffic flow than a four way stop, even IF the people used a four way properly, which few seem to do.

Never realized there was one in Brandon. The problem I had in Edmonton is that since I didn't know where the hell I was going in the first place, a traffic circle just added to my confusion. They're not bad. The ones on Waterfront are good for us traffic circle novices.

Use em. If they improve the flow of traffic use em. We better get used to them or get the hell off the road.

Exactly GOM. I've always liked roundabouts, and I'm sure the ones we'll find in WInnipeg will pale in comparison to say the one around the Arc de Triomphe.

Posted By: DeanKWinnipeg has the worlds biggeest roundabout...
Yes, but it's littered with traffic lights - each with a 80 km/h zone around it!

Heh ! I remember sitting there and watching that one for about 40 minutes with a coffee. It's a tourist attraction in itself. Didn't see one accident either !

If Winnipeg installs more roundabouts, I'm going back to rear-wheel drive.

There are a few roundabouts in Kelowna. I'm always afraid I'll crash on them. Not just because I'm a poor driver, but since half the people in Kelowna are former 'Peggers, I know half the people on the roundabouts will suck, too. :D
