I don't know about you, but I get these little sow bugs and other creepy crawly critters in my basement. I'll share a trick with you: Lay packing tape or duct tape sticky-side up on the floor in strategic places. You can use other small pieces of tape to keep it in place. The bugs will get trapped on the tape. I was able to figure out one of the major entry points for the bugs by doing this, and seal it up.
I have a problem with a bug living in the basement, but he seems to be drawn out by an open refrigerator or cooking just about any kind of food. I've been able to get him out of the house on a regular basis, but he insists on borrowing the car when he leaves. I don't think I can get rid of him permanently for about another 4 to 5 years, but I'll try the packing tape trick just for the hell of it. Thanks.

Me thinks you may need a lot of packing tape! You might also want to put a $5 bill in the middle of it.

If he is 17 or younger, he is your legal responsibility ;)

I was under the impression that having a child is now the taxpayers responsibility. At least that's what I read constantly in the newspaper. ;)
The bug in my basement is 18 and so are the other 2 bugs that are in the upstairs rooms, and theres a 21 year old bug in Brandon, and while these bugs may no longer be my "legal" responsibility, they are still my bugs. The responsibility for bugs never stops, even at 18 or when they leave the house. They were my responsibility the whole time they were little bugs as well. Raising bugs doesn't come with a manual, nor does it need a license, you just do what you can to have healthy, happy bugs that know the difference betweenright and wrong and become contributing members of the bug community.
In spite of the grey hair, loss of hair, accumulating debt, raising bugs is fun. I can't imagine what it is like not to have a house full of bugs.
