what are some of your takes on cellphone providers..

mainly mts and telus vs rogers (CDMA vs GSM)

which do you think is the better technology? and, based on your experiences, the better provider.

Rogers is the way to go. CDMA (MTS/Telus/Bell) is a dying technology.

Unless of course you plan to use you phone in remote locations where you will need old fashioned analog cell service.

We have 6 cell phones in our household. (Insane yes, but thats the way it is) Thats 3 MTS, 2 Telus and 1 Rogers. I use MTS and from the service I've seen, I'll stick to it. The plans seem to work best for our needs. I just use the phone as a phone (what a concept), but my kids are into texting, massively. I like the coverage as I end up in Brandon frequently with my daughter being there. Free MTS to MTS long distance too. One of my sons has MTS and its a good cheap plan for his needs (some kind of student deal). My wife has one of the Telus phones and got it when she was in sales and spent a lot of time on the road throughout the city. It was ok for that, but service sucks outside the perimeter. Never again Rogers.
