Stay away from Stephenfield Provincial Park if you're not into late night drinking...included in that are the parks people btw.
A couple of years ago we had the misfortune of staying there. We thought it was strange that it was so empty until we found out why. About 2 am we finally went to see where all the racket was coming from and found it coming from the 'seasonal area' and, low and behold, when we drove by, there were two Parks vehicles there. I guess they figured if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.
Maybe I'm a little late in replying to this thread, but if your looking just to camp in the bush, try around Woodridge MB. There's a gravel road running between the town of Woodridge and Carrick that has several logging roads off of it which open into wide enough areas to set up a camp site. We've been there on a few weekends and no ones bothered us but the bugs.
if you are looking for a kid oriented place to "camp"
