You can pay a bit more to have a Greyhound van deliver your package from the terminal to your home.

Greyhound picks up and delivers. The last time I sent a chair to my daughter in Lethbridge, it cost $6 to deliver to her house. Try that with Canada Post! As long as it fits under the driver, they will take it!
Trucking firms will take deliveries, businesss to business really inexpensive. If you have a residential delivery, their upcharge gets more expensive, but still reasonable. If you can have the recepient pick up at the truck depot, the costs are very CHEAP!

yeah, Greyhound is reallllly cheap. I paid...I think it was $65 - $85 for some items what would of cost $200 to ship with UPS. Buying bubble wrap and odd shapped boxes is a pain in the neck, and expensive. I didnt have a car in the peg, so going from store to store asking if they have extra boxes wasnt possible.

I dropped off my goods at UPS and they wrapped it extra secure, but for $100 for the materials. expensive, but they did one hell of a job making sure it was triple bubble wrapped and styrofoam pop corn and odd shapped boxes.

I think the only problem with greyhound is they are not insured, so if it breaks or gets stolen you are screwed.

PS- thanks for all the responses
