Well, there is a route in the lower Mainland that runs less frequently than every 20 minutes. I wouldn't be surprised if there were more, but I'm not going to bother checking.

I'm not trying to be a smartass, it is just annoying when someone cranks up the hyperbole. Of course bus service in off-peak times will be reduced to outlying areas - just like in Greater Vancouver. Yet you conveiently ignore the fact that many of the routes servicing the inner suburbs and major routes run relatively frequently right through the evening.

Just stick to the truth, expat.
  1.
I've found myself waiting for around a half hour on inner city routes in Winnipeg in the evening. I only really used the Obsorne and Corydon routes out of downtown and often found it faster to walk. Sometimes route frequency is close to every 25 minutes, on inner city routes.

Surrey has just been promised more buses to deal with the craptacular service anyway. At least they are doing something about it.
  2.
The 98 B Line is a route that I am more familiar with.

This is an example of Bus Rapid Transit that utilize existing surface routes. It is a downtown to the suburbs route. It only stops at major intersections. This is what Winnipeg needs.

cj3470's comment was about a bus running out of the downtown.

C-Bot your route is akin to a bus running from Kildonan Mall to St. Vital Mall. You had to go to all the way to Surrey to prove me wrong, didn't you.

It was the first route I clicked on. It proves the point just the same, though.

Besides, why resort to hyperbole? I already know transit service is good in the Lower Mainland...why do you need to make up a patently false claim about it to try and make it seem better than it is?

Well, now you know there's at least one.

Why not build a waterpark instead? Seems like that would get more Winnipegers out and about!
