Well, my dad is home after an extended stay in the hosp so I'll be hanging out with him a bit. I can finally get the time to unpack the rest of my stuff and check out my new nieghbourhood. The IKEAs in Vancouver are huge. Thats probably the largest building Ive ever seen...other than an airplane hangar....
Its funny how everyone at IKEA eats 50c hot dogs when they leave...its like a food ration.
I try and find IKEA things on Craigslist....lots of stuff on there...lots of people buy IKEA things...then after a few months/year, they sell em. I grabbed one of these -

For the long weekend, my husband grew a beard with no moustache, I sewed myself a pleated print skirt, and we're making the kids turn off the electronics. Then we're going to drive out to the Portage La Prairie colony and ask if anyone has a tray of cheeses.
I'm hanging out with my kids this weekend. I was just mentioning to them how it's not even Queen Victoria's birthday we are celebrating. The sleep over kid says, "We are celebrating because Queen Victoria invented the long weekend" Made me laugh.

I'm guessing there's not a lot of people here who work in retail? It seems almost everything is open Monday minus banks, gov't positions and auto garages. Sunday hours, 12 to 6.
