Nah, just change the banners, from lil italy to lil saigon

Corydon is one of the few, maybe of two, healthy pedestrian strips in Winnipeg. Bulldozing it is a horrible idea. You should be ashamed for even thinking such a thing. Fore shame.

    :)

The situation is under control, regarding those Asians that jumped out of a van, and attacked Bova! Vans have now been banned on Corydon Avenue!

Seems Corydon is the place to get attacked .. Bova, Bowden ... If you want to send a message to a ring leader, you know where to go.

I really imagine the same thing. Patio, coffee shop, lounge. Can't really beat what they had.

It's actually closing? Why wouldn't whoever buys it just continue operating it? As Mr. C pointed out, it's hard to imagine what could possibly beat what they have now.

Posted By: Mr. NobodyNah, just change the banners...
Just fade the red in the banners to orange, and make it the Irish district!

Shing Shang bubble tea house and spirits... What's your guess? They closed a really nice Italian Resturaunt down the strip this spring and its turning to a Sushi house (with a patio?), yay.

Property taxes are an issue for restaurants. Vesuvio's was going to pack it in. Good chance the restaurant you are talking about did the same. Wouldn't surprise me if thats the reason for Bar I to look for an exit.

I heard that was the reason Burger Factory ( Portage - keep your ice Cream - Factory Special is what the gods really eat ) owners shut down and sold. Maybe these old time owners had enough.

They're selling it for $2 something million. I doubt it is closing. The property is valued at $500kish. The rest must be the value of the business. Nobody would buy it and close it...

But another, better restaurant opened in place of Burger Factory. The new owners did not seem daunted by taxes...

Jeez, what opened there? I used to live on Portage ( far west mind you ) and haven't been down that strip in ages.
