    The headline seemed pretty ordinary until I read further...the victim was Bova and the time he was attacked was 8:00 AM. This wasn't your run-of-the-mill assault it seems eh?

    Somebody wants a bigger cut perhaps? ;)

    Morning doppio latté, at least he had that in him.
    Circumstances would seem to indicate that this is not a random attack.
    I re-state my claim that I am not afraid of this kind of thing happening to me:
    No drug connections
    No domestic violence
    No Hells Angel relatives contesting a will

    When I read this I was hoping it was a former employer / restauraunteur who owns a establishment on Corydon...but it was not.

    I'll just throw eggs at his windows in January. Heheh. Frozen egg is very hard to remove.

    I've met Bova working at the said establishment. Seemed nice enough, but you could tell the man was well connected.

    I have nothing against Joe Bova. I have something against a former employer of mine who owns a restaruant on Corydon.

    Bova is cool.

    Was it gang? Couldn't be. The Freep would have some headline about gang wars or something. Bova is a businessman. I haven't read anything to imply he is a gangster.

    my friend that told about the 2 carloads of Asians suggested that it was about a turf war on Corydon. He said that Bova was getting what he deserved. That's all I know. remember when Corydon was a quaint Italian restaurant area? seems like the good old days now, doesn't it...

    The Bova thing is second string due to the latest drive-by shooting/murder, in Fort Rouge! Is this a turf war for real? J2F, that is your neighborhood. Put a stop to this.

    Corydon used to be nice. Now it's becoming a plague on the area imho.

    It's still nice in the evenings, but later it turns into a drunk fest.

    The very fact that Bova was targeted by an Asian group tells me that there's been a change in the power balance on Corydon.They wouldn't have even thought of kicking a man like Bova on his home turf 10 years ago. This could get interesting...

    Where's the headline re gang turf wars on Corydon?

    The FREEP is always running stories with Gang Wars as the angle. Just today, there was one about the guy murdered on Pembina Hwy.

    All the Freep can tell us is the unnamed victim was NOT a gang associate. So what's up with Bova? Where's the commentary and inuendo?
