Posted By: Mr. NobodySorry J2, you should take a walk to the PSB or the training academy on Allard, the cops are bigger, smarter, tougher.

They must be keeping those behind a desk somewhere then. 5'8"and 150 lbs. don't cut it in my books.

Why don't we just get robo-cops? That way we don't have to worry about anyone being hurt.

I think we're there already. Winnipeg now has a SWAT unit. I reckon the next thing we'll get is some sort of APC for them.

    Agreed.

When I was in camp (Stevens I believe) there was a "game" played where someone got a short electrical charge if they sat on the "chosen" bench. Howls aplenty for the electrocuted.

We should wire all the chairs in parliament and whenever some bozo says something stupid they should get zapped. Some MPs might never sit down because as soon as they open their mouth they would be zapped.

hear this on the radio today -

One-third of people shot by Taser need medical attention: probe

    http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2008/06/17/taser-injuries.html?ref=rss

"In three years worth of reports obtained under Access to Information legislation, people suffered injuries including burns, puncture wounds from the probes, and head wounds from falling. In many cases, however, the person was not taken for medical treatment.'

Now how many of those REQUIRED medical attention, and were denied? Looks to me like the tasers are bloody near as bad as getting shot by a "real" gun.
