[cite] Merlin:[/cite]I am on shaw using IE7, at work there's a different connection and I use firefox 2 and still no login. I also use ubuntu and firefox and no login.
Does your name/password show up in the sidebar login box? And you say there's another connetion at work, is it a MTS connection?
As an intermediate step, would it be possible to remove that annoying screen AFTER logging in and put one back directly from where the login occured?
I'll add it to the ongoing suggestion box for next upgrade.
I use Opera, FF and IE7 and the "Remember Me" function doesnt work on any of them. I type in the link "www.newwinnipeg.com/community" manually every time.
There are TONS of other forums that are able to remember me just fine (PHPBB, vBulletin etc..). I question as to whether it is my fault or not.

In IE7 the name is available from a list of words I have typed into boxes as I have set IE to remember names. The password has to be typed in. In FF nothing shows up.
I don't know what the connection at work is, it may be a T1 with dedicated service.
[cite] alex:[/cite]Ooooh... are you on MTS?
In fact, is anyone who is having this problem NOT on MTS?
It just dawned on me now that some MTS customers have dynamic IP addresses - that is to say that your IP address changes all the time. This may be why you are logged out every few hours.
I am on MTS. This doesn't happen to me on other sites..it seems unique to NW.
I use MTS at home and like Puravida and Zander I'm always logged in sort of, just my name doesn't appear... I click on the "log in" button without entering my user name and p/w and it automatically logs me in.
On the old site, and maybe on this new one for a while at the beginning, whenever I visited the forum I was logged on. That's what I'm speaking of..I too can click the log-in button and get on, but that's just not the same for us lazy folks.
