Posted By: Goth_chicPower 97 is suppose to make 2 major concert announcement this Monday. Any guesses???

I'm probably totally wrong, but I would guess Nine In Nails and Van Halen. It wouldn't be the Black Crowes, although they are playing the Burt.

Maybe Alice Cooper, the Eagles. Clapton is on tour but he was here not too long ago.

I don't consider Kid Rock to be a major show and it was already announced.

Axle's new GNR guitarist left him to rejoin NIN for that tour, I heard on the radio.

the NIN show was one of the best in my life and im not even a huge fan. Go for the lights and crystal clear digital distortion.

I was looking at pollstar and trying to guess which big bands will be here next, not sure who it will be. I had heard a rumour that AC/DC will be touring in fall and maybe planning a stop here.

Yes, I heard that AC/DC would likely tour and that they would likely play the Peg. Ditto for Metallica.

The last time I saw AC/DC, they bored me but they at least signed my album cover. I don't think any band has disappointed me as much in the last 20 years as Metallica, given their terrific first three albums and subsequent pitiful follow up albums (save for the black album.) But, I would go see them, if they make it here.

I love old Metallica. Ride the Lightening is my fav album. I'd go see them for sure. AC/DC I'd go see for old times sake....I saw AC/DC in 1986 and from what I remember it was a good show....

It's a tie between Ride and Master, for me.

If I could score great tix, I would likely see AC/DC. I recall seeing them during the SARSFest concert or whatever it was called, and being impressed with their setlist of what is surely considered to be "classic rock."

I'm really tempted to go to NIN. But I have to get my Folk Fest tickets first.

Me too...but Judas Priest is the night before...I have to go to that. I loved Priest when I was younger.

I saw AC/DC on the Razor's Edge tour, and would definitely go again. There's no surprises at an AC/DC show - just hits and energy. As for good seats, there was a crazy platform at the opposite end of the arena upon which Angus Young appeared out of nowhere, in the middle of a solo, and flailed about on as it rose to the level of the second tier of the Pacific Colosseum, which was cool because it brought the folks up high and at the back right into the show.

Metallica I think I'd pass on as much as I love Master of Puppets and Ride the Lightning, and like the rest of the albums up to and including the Black album, because their later stuff doesn't do a thing for me. I'd totally go see Apocalyptica though.

I met Priest opening night of Aliens, just outside the old Donald St. movie theatre, after the film. The next night, I was right in front of the stage.

My hubby has tickets for Rush and Maiden....we're both going to Tom Petty. I am planning on going to Priest. I met KK and Tipton at the Osborne Village Inn. We partied with them. Lots of fun! I also met AC/DC, Queensryche, Crue...this list could go on...lol

AC/DC is currently recording in vancouver with a release date somewhat later this year, so no doubt they'll be touring to promote it. Though probably not until at least the fall. I've always admired the simplicity and honesty of the band. They've sold 150 million discs and still come across like ordinary guys.

AC/DC is the only concert I have ever been to in my life. The tickets were 3 seats from the stage, I swear my heart was actually beating to the rythym of the music the vibrations were hitting me so hard, my brother in law went deaf for 3 days following the event.

All in all... I would do it again.. (and take my kids who are falling in love with all the old rock because of Guitar Hero!!!)
