Point you can't miss it. Well maybe you can now. It was the biggest mural around...but yes higgins sounds right, right after the underpass.

I was sad to see windows cut into that beautiful mural, and that wall.......I dunno, it just doesn't look right, and I wonder what purpose it serves? But I shouldn't gripe, a beautiful old building was saved by those architects, which is always my main focus.

Duh, you have to get architects to take over the building for it to be nice.

I would have said <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schizophrenia" target="_blank">schizophrenic</a> myself (in the sense they're detatched from reality).

CV loaned the guy cash to buy the building. I presume because they liked his plan.

An arch. friend of mine who works for the WB Callab. told me he proposed a development plan that would have retored the character of the street either through re-use or new, And CV turned him down.

Yup your right CV is scizo. I wonder of Mgowan and the developer that got the property are buddies.... you think?

And it won't look right for the next 100 years. If they wanted an addition, maybe some guidelines could have been followed. Now there's a thought, guidelines.

You can do whatever you like inside, but the ourside must reflect the style of the building or the character of the neighborhood ( if it has one )

Big difference between what Wins Bridgeman is doing at Main & Higgins and what is happening in the thread title: "Fate of the Starland and Rex Theatres - Main Street". I'll take Wins over Center Venture any day.
