I dont know if it was on this discussion or a different one.. but someone asked how many Canadians are in prison in different countries.

According to CBC this morning... 1750.. is the number the Canadian government stipulates.. most of those are in USA.
1.
All innocent like Brenda Martin??
2.
Of course. With the exception of .001%, everyone in prison is innocent...and none of them liebtw. :)
3.
And we know that by just asking them.

why damn it! he is canadian why should he be subject to the same death penalty laws as americans in america? he should get to come home and be released automatically under our awesome laws in canada that favor criminals over their victims! ITS A CANADIAN RIGHT!

It just occurred to me that had this gal been in Winnipeg when accused of breaking the laws she very likely would have got off scott free...
6.
Not sure of your point? Who is Scott and what does he have to do with it?
7.
Scott is the investigating officer.

More to the point, that's a lot of cocktail parties for Helena Guergis to attend. ;)

Too true, she may need a liver transplant before its over.

"Backbench better suits Guergis"

Man, when you're a Tory minister and even the National Post is ragging on you for your ineptitude, you've got to know that the journey to the backbenches must be coming soon.

The image of the W5 crew approaching her at the Canadian Tire announcement to ask her about Brenda Martin (which she agreed to talk to them about) only to have her run away instead defines Helena Guergis' ministerial career.

Isn't that very old news?

Since this broke, a week or so ago, it was noted that Ms Martin has refused to meet with consular officials a few times during her stay in jail. Quite frankly, Guergis was in a no-win situation...don't go and she's uncaring... go and she's accused of political pandering. I don't blame her for leaving it to others...the political pandering that is.:)

10.
I'm not in love with any politican Dean...I just want to make sure the "other side" gets a little help here in showing another point of view.;)
