Posted By: DeanKShe should serve her jail time.
That's true. If Canada just let her waltz off the tarmac you'd have a hard time convincing any other country to let a criminal serve out their sentence in Canada. You'd mess up a lot of future lives and cases. Stick to the terms of the agreement.

Posted By: DeanKOnly should have got involved to ensure her rights were not being violated and left it at that.
Even at that I believe all the Government should do is lodge an official notice with the appropriate foreign government office and that should be that as far as I'm concerned.
To all of you who think that she should be stuck in jail, and all of you who think being kept in Guantanamo, Iran, Iraq etc for 2-5 years , as CANADIAN citizens, SHAME!

SHAME!
and if you are over 50 years old- DOUBLE SHAME!!

Canadians are equally capable of committing crimes in other countries just as much as anyone else. I fail to understand your comments.
Just to get it straight though, is it a DOUBLE SHAME for just being over 50, or do you have to agree with the first paragraph, and if yes applies in both cases, does that make it a TRIPLE SHAME??
As much as I'd like to hear the total truth about this whole soap-opera, the fact remains; Brenda is back in Canada. I heard that the Courts have declared her to be immediately eligible for parole and may be released soon. Perhaps it's time for her former employer to pop his head out of whatever hole he's hiding in, and tell the final truth from his point of view.
I'm still shaking my head when I think of the media mentioning his pronouncement as being something we should believe. He's an efin con man.. a liar for gawd sake. Jeez.
I tend to believe the opposite of what a liar says personally :)
I'm with you Grumpy.......I was totally on her side till she began "demanding" the prime minister to do something. She was in no position to be demanding anything. Guilty or not I don't know, but her attitude leaves alot to be desired.
